Today the students all managed to do some programming and changed their opening message for their virtual world to Crossmaglen Public School. The students also focussed on their avatars and changing the clothing to emulate early Australian attire which was much more modest and sombre than today’s fashion. Students made stockings, vests, shirts, jackets, socks, shoes and skirts. They were very particular about their appearance and did a fantastic job in the lesson time allocated even asking to work through recess and come back during lunchtime. They are very motivated on their early Australian building projects and now need to research further and start sketching design ideas for their builds, thinking about authentic resources that would have been used during the time period they have chosen. Fridays can’t come quick enough!
