Yesterday in our fortnightly cooking session we made Tortillas
The students got to first make the actual tortillas using Corn Masa Mix which is a corn base flour from Mexico, water and a tortilla press.
The dough was made and balls were formed before squishing in the tortilla press to make flat pancake like shapes.
Then we cooked the tortillas in the fry pan until each side was golden.
We filled our tortillas with chicken made with chicken thighs blitzed in the food processor seasoned with taco seasoning, cheese, lettuce, carrots, tomato, sour cream, avocado and salsa.
Yum !!
We also celebrated a special occasion today as it was Roms birthday. Our amazing school learning support officer, was presented with a cake which she shared with the students.
🎂 Happy Birthday Rom 🎈
