Year 4 and 6 students’ have been supplementing their maths program by creating Interactive Maths Journals every Wednesday with Mrs Booth. They are all loving this maths session as they create a maths resource that helps them to become more independent problem solvers in maths class this year and in the future. Each week we focus on a particular learning outcome connected directly to the new NSW maths syllabus. Students must then interpret what the outcome means in simple language and go on to complete an interactive activity before demonstrating their understanding through self selected tasks.
This looks like a brilliant idea! Can’t wait to see it when Josh brings it home. 🙂
