Lachlan recently completed a learning project where he needed to ‘design a fishing boat using environmental practices’ as part of the sustainability unit the whole school is studying. His design was based on the ‘virtual’ ship that he built for the HSIE project in Term 1. Here is his project presentation:

Jodie, just unbelievable if you get a chance to see this in real life! Can’t believe the effort involved, in all the intricate bits Lachlan put together. Vanessa also noted how, if he had one more week, how much more he would have done to really raise it to the next level so to speak (eg he was going to use ‘onion net’s’ to represent the fishing nets, etc, under the boat decking, etc).
