#walkmyworld Week 4 with Rahni and Poet Laureate Robert Hass

“Outside, white,
patient animals, and tangled vines, and rain.”
Excerpt from Sonnet by Robert Hass

This week the challenge for our #walkmyworld week 4 project was to somehow link our *walk*to the work of Poet  Laureate  Robert Hass.  Rahni, our youngest student, became photographer taking images of her school surroundings and she even found a little watershed. She is a natural photographer and creates a beautiful visual interpretation of Robert Hass’ work. In the stillness of a rainy school afternoon Rahni took a walk with Robert Hass…

  1. Rahni and I had a lovely walk around the school. We were fortunate emough to have the cows come over to fence in the rain to see us. She absolutely loved the calves. Rahni was very enthusiastic when looking for areas where the rain was pooling in the school. Her photos – which she took (except the first, so I could show her how to use the camera) came out well. She checked each picture and chose the best for the display which we uploaded onto the computer. Well done Rahni.

  2. Thanks you so much, Kate. And please thank Rahni. Lovely.

  3. Rahni loved taking the photos of the world around the school in the rain and then seeing them on the website.
